CH 12 Vietnam War: Bringing the Battlefield into the American

The american people vividly expierenced the vietnam war from thier own homes. The american public saw the horrors of war in a way that was never before released. the reason or this is because there were great journalist putting out informtion that it felt that people should know. Besides televeison newspapers were also relasing important information. the Washingington Post had the Pentagon Papers which released classifed data on the vietnam war because it flt it was important for the american public to know.

               News media was setting the agenda on the vietnam war. the more that wasout out there the more people wanted to pull out of vietnam. finally in 1975 america pulled out of the country of vietnam without winning the war agiant the vietcong. Americas have had enough of the war and seeing soldiers die. if it wasnt for news media america migh have stayed invietnam longer.

Juilian assange edito of wikileaks is doing today what he feels is the same as the Washington Pos did during te vietnam war. he released top secret goverment intellegence given to him by top goverment officials because the goverment officals felt like americans should know what was going on in the war in afghanastan. these goverment officals were afraid of loosing thier jobs so they decided to realese the information through wikileaks. julian asssange is a true  modern day journalist because he tries to give aerican citizens the right infrmation to make correct choices to hey can live free lives just like the the washington pos did during the vietnam war.
